Nuggets are by definition anything of great value, native lumps of precious metal which, to be conquered, has to face great challenges so this gold diamond nugget ring is here magnified to sublimate and give a very special aura to its wearer.
Different tastes and environmental factors inspired me to design. Why not combine all these elements to create a piece of exceptional beauty?
Soil is the source of life, the representation of all natural life. The first impression we have when looking at the bare earth is the density of its color and the beauty she ads to our landscapes. These colors blend with the surrounding greenery, sky and water.
From ancient times, the shine of gold has been considered as a symbol of good fortune and hope. Gold nuggets are symbolic to success and abundance. In confectionery, I was also inspired by nougat which translates the intertwining harmony of nuts and sugar.
The top layer of this gold diamond nugget ring represents the fragile lithosphere of the earth, divided into plates.The raised layer represents the athenosphere, where the material is solid but still able to flow.
Designed like a set of irregularly shaped nuggets, and embossed on a matte surface, I tried to represent cracked earth. This gold diamond nugget ring was designed in three gold color variations : 18k yellow gold, 18k white gold and 18k rose gold. A piece that took time to design and patience in all its details to be flawlessly executed.
A glittering row of white diamonds give this luxury ring an eccentric dimension and an absolute timelessness.
