My intent, in showcasing the grace of these beings, is in part to remind others of the existential beauty of the marine world and the biodiversity human destruction has challenged.

The seahorse, as a symbol of strength and perseverance is the perfect instantiation of the theme of resilience in the precarious face of human-engineered destruction. 

It is a reminder to us of the spiritual and aesthetic cost of the damage done to global ecosystems. It should be a sobering reminder of the responsibilities each of us has in bettering our choices moving forward for the preservation and respect of animal life.
